Presented here a vintage tote bag / clutch from HELMUT LANG, produced during the era before HL sold his company. The bag is made from a substantial, medium weight military canvas in khaki, and has an elongated shape which resembles the dimensions of an army wash bag. The most unusual detail of the bag is the cut out handle, which creates a slight curve at the top of the bag and has been reinforced around the edges. The bag also has a small gusset at the sides which is stitched to nothing at the base of the bag, allowing it to open wider than a flat bag could but also meaning it sits completely flat when empty (or folded over). The bag also has a zipped interior pocket with logo plate, and is subtly stamped "HELMUT LANG" in same colour ink on one side of the bag. Due to the large size, the bag can be used either like a regular tote bag, or folded over repeatedly and used as a clutch.
